What’s the difference between having a desktop on your desk and having a laptop on your desk?
Someone told me that laptops were the “new wave” of the future of computer technology.
What’s the difference between having a huge desktop attached to a printer on your desk or a laptop attached to a printer on your desk? What can you do with a laptop (besides carry it everywhere) that you can’t do with a desktop and vice versa?
What are the advantages to owning just a laptop instead of a bulky desktop?
Well to put it in simple terms
Descriptions
Desktops-Bulky and a pain to carry around with monitor and accessories
Laptops-Easy to Carry Around. Usually a little more expensive. Everything attached to it
Life Span
Desktop 5-8 Years
Laptops 2-3
Desktops are designed to take a beating and go through some damage, Parts are easily replaceable if things break.
Laptops are tightly compact and usually will start to Overheat overtime. The Industries have not perfected the design of them
I’m not saying do not get one (They are great for vacations and college students)
But if it is something for your home I do recommend keeping a desktop seeing that they are cheaper and more durable and last a lot longer.
