I don’t remember that being a traditional major, and none of the (few) colleges I’ve visited has that degree. From the name, it sounds like an attempt to build a bachelor-level degree around skills useful for system administrators, that is, people whose job is to set up computers so others could use them for work.
Similarly, most of the colleges I’ve looked at have recently made up a major around the management of computing, for people who could understand business needs and outsource work to India.
Actually, “computer science” is so young and broad that people have disagreements over what it is, exactly. If you have an idea of what you want to do, you should find your college’s catalog, check out which classes are required and which classes are electives (and which electives are still being offered, and not the pet classes of a professor who died but are still in the catalog), and maybe go to another school if the focus is not what you want from the major.
Though, from the works you list, I should point out that being a game programmer is a lot like being a rock star: There are few openings, the major employers want to milk you for money and spit you out when you’re dry (EA especially), and you probably won’t get in unless you’re so passionate that you’re already making your own games.
If you’re already stuck in college, the college should supply you with guidance counselors who could help you understand the majors better, and career counselors to help you with job prospects. You could always start out with general education courses, though I’ve had friends rave about how easy their senior year is when they start on their major immediately and do GE in the last year.
