Surround Computer Speakers

Can i substitue computer speakers for surround sound on my Tv?

If i hook up computer speakers to My hdtv (32″ lcd RA) can i play sound through the tv speakers and the computer speakers because i cna only play speakers from computer and i was wondering if their was a way for my tv?
ii mean can i play use computer speakers for my tv and play sound through the speakers and the tv?
cant i just plug the speakers into my 3.5 mm headphone JACK in my tv?

Your computer speakers input connection is via 3.5 mm stereo jack. HDTV output is likely to be digital audio, optical or RCA connection.

You’ll need a cable converter connector that has 3.5 mm female stereo connector and a male RCA (or which ever audio connection you have) connector on the other end.

If you use the headphone jack from the TV, you will disable the TV’s own speakers.
